PERSONAL DATA COLLECTION AND USE NOTICE

This notice is provided under Section 5 of the Digital Personal Data
Protection Act, 2023 of India ("DPDP Act") before we request your consent.

1. Data Fiduciary
   [Hyundai Motor India Engineering Pvt. Ltd.] ("we", "us", the "Organizer")
   operates this website for the HYUNDAI CoE Mobility Innovation Ideathon 2026
   (the "Contest").

2. Personal data we collect at sign-up
   - Full name
   - Date of birth (as per Aadhaar card)
   - Gender
   - Roll number
   - College / institute, department or major, current year or semester
   - Email address and mobile number
   - Account credentials (user ID and password)
   - Access records automatically generated in the course of using this site
     (IP address, access date and time, browser and device information)

3. Purpose of processing
   - Creating and managing your member account
   - Verifying your identity and eligibility to participate, including
     confirmation that you are at least 18 years of age
   - Communicating with you about registration, the Contest schedule,
     announcements, and support enquiries
   - Recording and proving the consent you give on this site
   - Complying with applicable law and maintaining records

4. Retention
   We retain your personal data until you withdraw your consent or delete your
   account, or until the purpose above is no longer served, whichever is
   earlier, unless retention is required for compliance with applicable law.
   Your personal data is then erased, and we cause our data processors to erase
   it as well.

5. Processing and storage location
   Your personal data may be stored and processed on servers located in
   [the Republic of Korea] and may be accessed by the Organizer and its
   affiliates and service providers for the purposes stated above.

6. Your rights
   You may:
   - withdraw your consent at any time, with the same ease with which it was
     given (Section 6(4));
   - obtain a summary of the personal data we process about you, the processing
     activities we carry out, and the identities of other data fiduciaries and
     data processors with whom it has been shared (Section 11);
   - request correction, completion, updating or erasure of your personal data
     (Section 12);
   - raise a grievance with us regarding any act or omission relating to your
     personal data (Section 13); and
   - nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of your
     death or incapacity (Section 14).

   at [privacy@example.com]. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the
   lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. If you withdraw
   your consent, we may no longer be able to keep your account active or allow
   you to participate in the Contest.

7. Grievance redressal

8. Complaint to the Data Protection Board of India
   If your grievance is not resolved, you may make a complaint to the Data
   Protection Board of India established under Section 18 of the DPDP Act,
   through the digital mechanism made available by the Board. You must first
   exhaust the grievance redressal opportunity described above.

9. Your duties as a Data Principal (Section 15)
   You must not impersonate another person, must not suppress material
   information when providing personal data for any document, unique identifier,
   proof of identity or proof of address issued by the State, must not register a
   false or frivolous grievance, and must furnish only verifiably authentic
   information when exercising your right to correction or erasure.

10. Language
    This notice is provided in English. If you require it in another language
    specified in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India, contact us at

Consent for Collection, Storage, Use, and Processing of Personal Data

In compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and applicable legal standards, Hyundai CoE ("the Organizer") requests your voluntary consent to collect, store, use, and process your personal data for the organization, execution, and management of the Hyundai CoE Mobility Innovation Ideathon 2026.

Please review the details below carefully before providing your consent:

1. Categories of Personal Data Collected
- Mandatory Personal Information: Full Name, Gender, Official Email Address, Mobile Phone Number, Affiliated University/Institution, Student ID Number, Student Verification Document (Digital copy/photo of Student ID Card).
- Account Information: User ID, Encrypted Password.
- Automatically Collected Data: Access logs, IP address, device information, and cookies generated during website usage.

2. Purpose of Collection and Processing of Personal Data
- Verification of participant identity, university enrollment status, and eligibility criteria.
- Administrative communications, including evaluation procedures, announcement of shortlisted teams/results, guidelines, and schedule updates.
- University-specific coordinator matching, dedicated institution board access, and online Q&A services.
- Distribution of prizes, awards, certificates of participation, and necessary logistics arrangements for on-site/online events.

3. Period of Retention and Processing
- Personal data collected will be retained for a period of one (1) year from the date consent is granted.
- Upon expiration of the retention period, or once the specified purposes are fulfilled, the data will be securely and permanently deleted or anonymized without undue delay.
(Note: Prior to the expiration of the retention period, Hyundai CoE may request your separate consent to renew or extend the retention period for subsequent program updates, follow-up events, or alumni networking.)

4. Rights of the Data Principal (Participant)
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you are entitled to exercise the following statutory rights:
- Right to Access Information: You may request a summary of the personal data being stored, processed and the processing activities undertaken in which such data was used.
- Right to Correction and Erasure: You may request the correction of inaccurate or misleading data, the completion of incomplete data, or the erasure of personal data that is no longer relevant for the specified purpose.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw your consent by giving 24 hours prior notice through the official support channel. (Please note that withdrawing consent for mandatory items may result in the cancellation of your registration and eligibility for the competition).
- Right of Grievance Redressal: You have the right to register a complaint or seek redressal regarding any matter concerning the processing of your personal data.
